Red Bull Salzburg Transfer Round-up: January 20-26

Red Bull Salzburg look set to have a busy winter transfer window as the club not only looks to replace two instrumental figures Erling Håland and Takumi Minamino this month, but also fend off some of Europe’s elite trying to poach the club’s talent. In the past week, Red Bull Salzburg have submitted a bid for 19-year-old Swiss international Noah Okafor. Basel are believed to not want to sell Okafor, but, as Basler Zeitung reports, Okafor himself may be unhappy with his situation at the club, having fallen behind in the pecking order. Basel fans are also unhappy with his recent performances and he has only started 9 games so far this season.

Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg are rumoured to be interested in French under-19 international Yaya Soumaré. Bayern Munich have reportedly made a bid, whereas Salzburg are rumoured to be interested in the 19-year-old, whose youth contract at Les Gones expires in June.
