Bragantino CEO Thiago Scuro has received an offer from Série A club Palmeiras to join them as their new sporting director, as reported by UOL.
According to the report, Palmeiras have had an approach rebuffed by the 38-year-old, who has preferred to stay with the club after recently signing a contract extension until 2023.
Scuro was the mastermind behind Bragantino’s takeover by Red Bull just before the start of the Série B campaign, in which the to be named Red Bull Bragantino have just been crowned champions.
Palmeiras fired their sporting director Alexandre Mattos after fans protested against him and the club president Maurício Galiotte. The club lost its match to Libertadores and Série A champions Flamengo 3-1 at the Allianz Park yesterday which led to the firing of the club’s head coach Mano Menezes.
