UEFA open disciplinary proceedings against Red Bull Salzburg and Red Star Belgrade

UEFA have opened disciplinary cases against Red Bull Salzburg and Red Star Belgrade following their 2-2 draw in the Champions League play-offs on August 28, 2018, which will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary body on September 7, 2018.

Charges against Red Bull Salzburg:

  • Field invasions by supporters – Article 16 (1) of the Disciplinary Regulations (DR) and Article 40 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations.
  • Stairways blocked – Art. 38 of UEFA Security & Safety Regulations.
  • Setting off of fireworks – Art. 16 (2) DR.

Charges against Red Star Belgrade:

  • Field invasions by supporters – Art.16 (2) DR.
  • Setting off of fireworks – Art. 16 (2) DR.
  • Acts of Damages – Art. 16 (2) DR.
  • Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) DR.
  • Dismissal from bench (Milan Kosanović) – Art. 15 (1)(a) DR
